Welcome to the Gibbes Museum of Art, one of Charleston's oldest and most beloved cultural institutions. Located in the heart of historic downtown Charleston, our museum is dedicated to preserving and celebrating art from around the world. Our expansive permanent collection covers a variety of mediums including paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings and photographs.
